With silver on the climb and gold going thru the roof its no wonder the fastest growing hobby of metal detecting is getting very popular. All you have to do is get you a good machine like my trusty Ace 350 and start swinging.
One saturday I was at a local school yard finding a ton of clad coins when I got a signal for a Quarter that said it was 6 inches deep. after cutting my plug and using my pinpointer to verify it was in the plug I slowly started breaking the dirt away expecting to find a clad looking quarter. To my surprise I saw that all to familar shiny silver luster. It was a 1945 P silver war nickel. Going to go back there and hopefully find more .
